Rae Melvin began his music career studying jazz drums at Humber College in Toronto. While there, he recorded his highly acclaimed EP, Clinton Junction, which showcases his virtuosic harmonica skills, powerful vocals, and songwriting talent.
In 2025, he formed his own group, Rae Melvin & the Felons (performing at times as the Rae Melvin Band), and they have been touring across Ontario ever since. Rae has been featured by the Great Lakes Blues Society and the Toronto Jazz Society, and has performed at numerous summer music festivals.
